Waverly Hills! Tours/Haunted House info=]

Post by cooleycoolgirl » Sun Oct 14, 2007 8:59 pm

Well, I live in Louisville, Ky and on top of a hill in Dixie Highway lies Waverly Hills Sanatorium, an old T.B hospital where thousands of people died. I've been there several times now, and I must say that i think I have seen enough to say that Waverly Hills is truly one of the most haunted places in the world. When I was there about a month ago, I saw the little white dog that died in the elevator, and for those who have been on a tour at Waverly Hills, you know the story. For those who havent, the story goes that in the 1940's there was a man and a white dog that were found dead in the hospital, and sometimes on the 3rd floor I THINK you can see a little white dog walk around, WHICH I DID, and sometimes you can also see the man too. While I was there, I also got this really freaky picture of me on the 4th floor. I was just standing there, and my aunt took a picture of me, and when it came back there was a man standing next to my left shoulder, and we were the only people in thew room. It was VERY freaky, but cool:) And I have several more stories, but if I told you all everyone, it woulds take forever. I highly recommend going on either the tour or over-night stay at Waverly Hills, because it's so neat, but if you're one who is not really brave enough to go and actually search for ghost, but you like getting scared, then I highly recommend the haunted house:) I went Saturday, well yesterday with my friend, and we had so much fun. It's not so much scary, it's fun.
The Tour's cost: $20.00
The Haunted House: $20.00
The Half Night Stay: $50.00 (4 hours/ No tour guide)
The Over-night Stay: $100.00 (8 hours/ No tour guide)
-There are not any tour guides during half/over-night stays. You go around alone-
Im into haunted places

Ah yes, I remember watching something about this place on TV nearly 2 weeks ago. What a hospital eh? The nurses sure were evil, seriously. They thought the rays from the Sun could help cure Cancer so they left the patients outside all year with a bed and blanket, who comes up with that idea anyways? :?

We tried to to book a night there and they told us in the reply email the overnights are booked till 2008. Which really sucks. I read Ghost Hunters is broadcasting live from there on Halloween night.

Hi all, I am planning on doing the tour here soon but like everyone said they are booked till 2008. That should tell you something right there. I went to the haunted house 2 weeks ago and I agree with Cololeygirl it is alot of fun and if you know the history of the building it makes it that much better. Also, check out the movie the Death Tunnel. If you see that movie before you go it makes your vist that much better. Yes TAPS (Ghost Hunters) will be there live Halloween. We had a chance to talk to one of the owners about them coming and she is very excited about them coming again.
All alone in the woods with nothing but the smell of smoke from the camp fire, cracking leaves as you walk and seeing your breath from the cold crisp air. Halloween is my favorite time of the year!

Having trouble finding a website or email address for Waverly. Could anyone supply for me? I'd like to do an overnight - even willing to wait til 2008.

Our team (DuPage Paranormal Society) was just there a month or so ago. All we saw with our IR cameras were racoons.

Hey...raccoons can be pretty darn evil.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.
