my kids school but was late (again) and the kids were late to school because of it (again) and they missed out on the school breakfast (again).
Last year the bus came at 7:20am, this year so far they havent shown up until 8:05am and school starts at 8:00, so yes, we all stood out there in the baking heat from 7:15 to 8:05.
According to the bus driver I chewed out, they changed the pick up time to 7:50 but didnt tell anyone the time had changed......

Heads would roll....especially if I was counting on that pickup time so I could leave for work...Hell no...I'd be livid.

Too early for kids to go to school this week??

But here in VA, all teachers and their assistants will be in school next week for "Teacher's Working Days" only. All students will return back to school after Labor Day.

what are these strange words that you speak; 'kids' and 'school'?
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

my son was up all night (until 3am) puking and dry-heaving and whining all night. This morning after only a few hours sleep he wakes up and is ready to party. I couldnt take him to school because they wont let him in if he's been throwing up so I get to deal with a "normal" 7yr old, and my daughter who was also ill but not throwing up, all day today...it's like a three day weekend

sheesh, so much for Magic Monday

You're a compassionate father Mr. Mufu.

Luckily my daughter has hardly ever been sick in that way, and finds vomiting anywhere but the bathroom to be totally unacceptable.

well, I did "hide" when I heard the word "throw up".....My wife cleaned it up.
My son wasnt even fully awake when he puked, he had been sleeping then we heard him stir and then **BARF**.......I went down stairs to "check on something" and the wife went in to see the damage, I stayed down stairs in the kitchen until she had it 90% taken care of....
