Well Guys, First Day Of Fall!

Post by Rising Dead Man » Tue Sep 22, 2009 4:44 pm

And I already put up a skeleton ghost thing in my window!

Early huh? Picture coming soon.
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

Oh your right, i totally forgot that today is the first day of Fall!! Halloween is definitely right around the corner now.

Fall is by far my favorite season with its cool weather and beautiful colors on the trees. And of course Halloween on the 31! How exciting!

Happy Fall everyone. The weather changed right on cue too. It was 80 plus yesterday and last night a cold front came in. It's 69 right now and rainy.

I cut grass today and because of the cold front, this may be the last time :)

time for fall yard work :) :) i'm so excited

a little note about me * I ABSOLUTELY LOVE yard work :) *
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Looks like we share something else in common, I also love yard work! I especially like raking leaves in the Fall, although a lot of people don't care for it. I think raking leaves is a part of the Fall season just like Halloween! It's a tradition for me to rake the leaves that fall from the trees as frequently as it needs to be done. I clearly remember the days when my dad used to rake the leaves into huge piles, and I would naturally jump right in the piles. Thats one of my favorite Fall memories...

Hot Hot Hot here in TN. I was so jazzed for the first day of Fall! Dang! I think the heat index was near 90!! Hot and steamy! We have had rain heavy for the last month, and today the sun came out and boiled everything in steam! I am SOOOOO ready for a cooler day. It was cooler in June than in Sept! Wore a hoodie on the 4th to watch fireworks.
I am the shadow on the moon at night
Filling your dreams to the brim with fright,

Just looked up my forecast on weather.com and all of next week, including this weekend is supposed to by a high 0f 65!!!! How perfect is that weather! The official high and low of Oct. 1 is 64 degrees and 49 degrees. I'm so excited!, it looks like I'll have to start unpacking my winter clothes for the remainder of the year. I plan on keeping a hoodie on throughout the week, and I'm definitely planning some fun outdoor activities! :D
