*Decorate this imaginary house for Halloween.*

Post by Nostalgiascape » Thu Jul 10, 2008 7:54 pm

Okay as a group, we all partake in decorating this imaginary house. I will describe it to you.

It is a classic southern belt style 2 story home with pillars in front of the front porch. Its a little bit upscale. So we have room to have a lot of fun here. Let us say the house looks like....this!

Image

The rooms we are decorating are The living room, the dining room, the basement and one room up stairs for...lets say.... a little 7 year old girl who isn't feeling well.

The Dining room will be where the party snacks and punch are served

The living room is where people can dance to halloween music or just gather.

The basement is to be made into a Halloween maze for people of all ages.

The little girls room needs a female touch definatly.

The front porch and front yard will also need decorating, but this is definatly for indoor activities.

So all rooms are open to all members here.

What will you add to the decorating?

I think i'll help with the front porch and yard.

For starters, all the Jack O Lanters cannot be that store bought rubber. They need to be real and hand carved. I think we line the porch with Jack O Lanterns and keep a bag of tea lights nearbye.

I kind of like the Black and Orange Halloween lights idea. String them along the top of the porch..Lets see, what else..

A cemetery for banned members. When a member is banned they are added to the cemetery. The gravestones look like this.

And have names under the RIP and dates of when they joined and when they were banned under the names.

Lets replace the 2 trees in the yard with dead bare trees. The one on the left has a skeleton hanging from the tree with a noose. The trees in the back yard have fall leaves and there are dead leaves all over the ground.

The palm trees definatly look out of sorts, but unplanting the trees seems over the top for decorating. But this is for fun, so what say we replace those two trees with either two bare trees as previously mentioned, or a large willow tree?

No there's not a cemetary in the back yard, it would likely be down road.

I like having a cemetery in the backyard. Not down the road. Remember this is the HOUSE we are making not the street.

I don't know why, but I thought you meant iis there a real cemetary in the backyard. I'm not thinking.

Design a cemetary, sure. But remember the theme and the 7 year old girl in the house. Oh, and fog makers. :)

Ok so we know what the banned member graveyard is like. But I will add one more thing. It has a spooky fence around the graveyard . It looks like this.

I think you stash a sound system somehwere to play scary sounds of ghosts and chains.

The graveyard is spooky but I want it to be peaceful. The sounds can be on the porch.

Anyone who is stressed out can go to the graveyard to relax and unwind. There is a nice tree in there with fall leaves on it and a jack-o-lantern next to it. It has the classic smiling pumpkin face. At night it lights up by itself and in the day the light goes out by itself. I love this graveyard. It is so peaceful and Halloweenish. :D

Gotta tell ya, not too many people are goping to be seeing the Graveyard in the same light as you are. But i'll leave you the graveyard and begin work on front porch some more.

Installing the sound system in window just off front porch to play spooky sounds. Adding webbing by the pillars with rubber spiders up in the corners.
