Do you remember...

Post by hippieluvn » Wed Nov 14, 2007 1:02 am

I'm looking for the title of a movie that used to play on television back in the 80's during Halloween season about a mentally retarded young man and a scarecrow. Does any of this ring a bell for you?

Thanks :D

OK, I just found it! It was a 1981 TV movie called Dark Night of the Scarecrow about a retarded man who is unjustly accused of attacking a young girl. Disguised as a scarecrow, he hides in a cornfield, only to be hunted down and shot. Later, after it is revealed he saved the girl from a vicious dog attack, members of the search posse are killed by a mysterious scarecrow

It looks very interesting! I want to see that! :) I have to find it somewhere!

I haven't seen it in years. It used to play on tv when I was a kid. From what I can recall, it was spooky; of course, I was just a kid!

Nostalgiascape just posted his review of it in the Halloween Entertainment forum. Good movie. I had bought a crappy quality dvd version of it on eBay. But the best way to watch it is in crappy quality.
