How are you? How was your year?
Not many familiar souls here anymore...
Even less than last year when this trend began...
Where has everyone gone? It isn't the same, fun forum

What?
I for one, enjoy the endless barrage of random link postings of identical news stories.
Just to be clear, that was sarcasm.

All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

I watched Svengoolie last night, too!
We had a pretty good year. I've been working part time, teaching English comp to high school students for college credit at a local high school. This to help pay for my daughter's room & board at pricey Sewanee, where she's a junior. Older son finished his PhD in math at Vanderbilt & moved to Columbus to work at Ohio State. His dad & I are driving up there to see him later this week. Middle son has been working at a grocery store since graduating Middle TN State last year. His ambition is to be a writer, so his career path isn't very clear. At least he's working.
Oh, and we all watched the solar eclipse in August, which reached totality here for about two minutes.
I do miss the way the forum used to be, and I agree with Andy that the endless barrage of news articles from some impersonal source is annoying.
But hey, it's October!

Happy to hear you've had a good year
We're moving from D.C. back to New York City...
Later this month because Uncle Sam said so... Haha
