Oh, nevermore; did you lose a bet?
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

I never gamble... with my life.
I'm watching Halloweentown. Halloween, Hallows-eve, and Samhain are all working.

My husband recently purchased the late-90s series Millennium on DVD, and we have been watching that. Sort of a darker X-Files, also from Chris Carter.

I remember that series Murf. It was good for the first few seasons.

When An American Werewolf in London came out, I was blown away by the special effects. After all these years it still stands the test of time.

Oh, I love American Werewolf in London! Such a witty movie, I always thought, and, yeah, the special effects were Oscar-winning at the time, IIRC.
Back when Millennium was on the air, I thought it was too dark, but I find I am liking it better now than I did back then. I think the lead character's wife is kind of brain-dead, though. He saves her life and she kicks him out of the house because she finds him too violent? (She saw him kill her abductor.) Say what? I call plot contrivance on that one.

I recently started watching 'Arrow'. Laurel pulled the same thing on Ollie. Now she doesn't like the vigilante because he got a little violent protecting her? Puh-leese!!!Murfreesboro wrote:He saves her life and she kicks him out of the house because she finds him too violent? (She saw him kill her abductor.) Say what? I call plot contrivance on that one.
I'm currently watching Star Trek TOS, waiting patiently for Svengoolie to start. Glad I got that antenna but still would prefer an online feed to MeTV. Anyone know of one? Can't believe I've never seen this episode. I think Lt. Diamato just bit it.
So loud! I have the volume turned waaaay up, trying to drown out the Mexican oompa-loompa music from across the valley. I should drive over there. Try to score some free beer, but no hablo español bueno enough.
Ahhh. Son of Dracula on tonight's Svengoolie.

Re: Whatcha watchin right now?
Watched a fiction/fact-movie-docu-drama from the Discovery Channel about what has been called the Dyatlov Pass Incident.
In 1959 nine hikers in the Soviet Union were found dead in an remote region of the Ural Mountains of Siberia. There were questions raised about their deaths owing to the fact that for reasons unknown, the hikers left their tent in the middle of the night and ran away into the subfreezing countryside where they all died.
When their bodies were found it was shown they had left in such a hurry that none had bothered to dress and were wearing only small amounts of clothing. Over the years speculation and theories as to what happened have caused a lot interest in the topic, especially since the Soviet Union stopped being a country and the new Russia has opened up with information until now kept secret.
There are several good and logical theories for what happened to the nine hikers, but the Discovery morons prefer to take low road. In the end they conclude it was Yeti who killed the hikers.
Uggh! It really was bad! If you have nothing else to do and just want to see how low TV has sunk; the title of the show is Russian Yeti: The Killer Lives. You can watch it on YouTube, but it was lame from start to finish.

I've seen numerous mentions of that on Ancient Aliens. Very mysterious, indeed.

Watching the Evil Dead remake (2013). It is actually pretty good!
I just can't wait until next Halloween,
'Cause I've got some new ideas
that will really make them scream!
And, by God, I'm really gonna give it all my might!

You've seen the movie, now go see the musical!!! That is, if you're in the American northwest/Canadian southwest.SIEFKA wrote:Watching the Evil Dead remake (2013). It is actually pretty good!

Trust me I would love to go see that! But I'm afraid it is a bit to far for me. There is right down the road from my University a old theater called the Croswell and they usually show darker plays around October so I will go see some for sure in October!

Re: Whatcha watchin right now?
Got a four DVD set called Sword and Sorcery Collection. They're Roger Corman low budget movies from the early and mid/late 1980'so.
Watched Death Stalker 1 and 2, last night. They were pretty much how I remembered them. A fair amount of skin, and a fair amount of terrible acting, plot line, and special effects. But it was worth the five dollars I spent on the set.
Haven't gotten around to watching The Warrior and the Sorceress, and Barbarian Queen, that starred the late Lana Clarkson. Lana Clarkson was the actress killed by Phil Spector. Her crime scene photos are often found on line, owing to a really bad job of proper protection of evidence by the Los Angeles police. Her death photos are frequently shown at police training classes on how not to handle a crime scene. I've seen them and have no desire to see them anymore, so it might be awhile before I get around to watching Barbarian Queen.

Re: Whatcha watchin right now?
My husband and I actually saw Barbarian Queen in the movie theater many years ago. I believe it was either the worst, or next-to-worst, movie I ever saw. At the time I couldn't believe we paid money for it. If a person expects it to be terrible, though, it might pass.
I just watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest on DVD. I had never seen it before, and now I don't think I ever want to see it again.
