Rob Zombie's Officially Halloween Movie!
I would say that movie is great and I have voted for "2 Thumbs Up!!" Not really compare to remake of John Carpenter's classic Halloween movie, you know? Some scenes looked like, some others don't... Well, I can't wait to see if it comes to DVD with UnRated Version, then I would rent it!

I hated it. Rob Zombie ruined my favourite movie. It was a complete load of garbage and should have been banned from theatres. The first four words said in the movie are so bad I can't even say at school or I would have the police after me. There are consecutive full on nude scenes that, yes, show everything. The gore is so graphic that people in the theatre looked sick when they came out. The acting's terrible, the backstory for the first half of the movie is horrendous. Malcolm McDowell was awesome as Loomis and the guy who played Michael was alright. But he just didn't act convincing enough. Rob Zombie's created add ons to the story made no sense and were extremely distasteful in my opinion. The rest of the movie he just literally copied the original. But the ending defeats the whole purpose behind the past movies and is so rushed that I almost wanted to leave.
One of my all time favourite movies was made in 1978 by a man who truly knew how to tell a story using real suspense without the senseless gore and nudity. This man was John Carpenter. Halloween belongs to John Carpenter. Not some wannabe who tries to pass off garbage as a masterpiece.

Thanks for the review Spooky, i also being a HUGEE HALLOWEEN fan have not seen the remake yet but hope to see it today. However from your review im not quite sure if i even want spend 9 bucks on the ticket and waste over 2 hours of my precious long weekend.
I always knew the remake wouldnt even be close to the original's quality but i was still hoping it would be decent. From your review, and from others it sounds like Rob Zombie depended on vulgarity, nudity and blood to make the film good. And this is NOT what the HALLOWEEN series is about AT ALL. What horror movie directors dont understand today is that a good horror movie doesnt need a ton of gore and <deleted>, but instead a good storyline, suspense, and most importantly a good "feeling". They just dont make horror movies like they used to (HALLOWEEN, F13, Nightmare on Elm Street), which is very dissapointing.
I have a few questions though about the film:
-How were the new actors compared to the original actors
-Was there any parts you liked more about the remake then the original
-How much nudity/vulgarity is there because i was thinking about taking my younger brother, just like my dad took me to the original
Once again thanks for the review, and im sure ill see the movie tonight and have my own review posted by tommorow.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BROTHER IF HE IS UNDER 16!!! Honestly, there are many nearly pornographic parts and sexual language that would make your long weekend outing so awkward that you would never want to take him to another movie again.
The girls who played the babysitters in this one couldn't act their way out of a paper bag. Pretty much comparable to that of the Spice Girls movie or an episode of Barney...
I liked the music in this one better actually. They changed the timeline of the story to Michael killing his sister in the late 70s so the killing spree seems like it's happening more recently. KISS, Peter Frampton and Blue Oyster cult songs adorn the soundtrack and give it a very accurate to the times feel. All the theme music was just recycled from the original which I loved.

even reading the reviews I never base my opinion on a movie by them. I will watch it tommorrow, then decide if i like it.
so i think everyone should see it then say if they liked it or not reviews are just theorys.

Officially is what Rob Zombie's HIS own film. He created and directed that movie himself.
Well, I'm truly so sorry that you guys dislike seeing that movie. And, FYI, Do not let anyone under 17 of age to see it... BUT my youngest cousin is 16, she already watched it and she really enjoyed it! She asked me if that movie will come to DVD as Unrated Version, and I told her that was a good question. I really don't know for sure at this time, but wait and see when it comes to DVD, I believe in the second week of December.

OK, let me say clearly... For instance, Rob Zombie himself, who holds or is invested with the film studio. He was prescribed or recognized as authorized, do you understand? Well, he has the authority to run for his OWN film.
