Saw a Spirit Halloween banner when I was out yesterday, but didn't have time to go in.

Thank you. That made my day :)
You're welcome. Glad I could make your day. :)
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.

That is a good pic!

Did some work in the yard this morning and it didn't feel quite as hot!

Thank you too.

It's ridiculously humid today, doesn't feel like fall at all.

Oh, man, we just heard on TV today that almost the entire East TN pumpkin crop has failed. Weather too wet. 80% losses, and some farmers completely wiped out. I guess we're going to be paying premium prices for our pumpkins this year!

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you can find some pumpkins without taking out a loan. Also hope the farmers are able to pull through after losing their crop.

Hopefully many of these farmers are insured for their losses

Spooky that is some great stuff.

Murf that is terrible news. My father in law is really into gardening so we often give him some seeds and such for his birthday in February. This year we included a packet of cinderella pumpkins. He has a few that are starting to grow quite nicely.

You guys are gonna have to go back to carving turnips Murf. What other vegetables or fruits would be good for carving? I've done gourds in the past but it's a bit more work.

I have two monitors Spooky, and I still had to scroll for that image. :P

I can sense Halloween coming closer. It is like a force almost. Every day on the way home from college I drive by this tree and I see the change in color on it. Yes I had to pull over on the side of a very busy road to get this picture for you guys.

Image

Over to the left of that tree on the other side of the road there is a cornfield and it’s beautiful in the fall. All the corn gets turned into crop or dies off so it is barely there and there is this giant tree in the middle of the corn field that changes its colors. I swear when driving by there a few times I have seen "The Shape" walking through there.

The Halloween City in our town just opened up yesterday but I am not allowing myself to go in yet until the start of my Halloween Season.

I just can't wait until next Halloween,
'Cause I've got some new ideas
that will really make them scream!
And, by God, I'm really gonna give it all my might!

I bought several Halloweenie Beanies at Kroger this week. The little owl is the cutest.

Actualy I don't think Halloween sightings are early at this point. But my spirits were certainly lifted when I saw pumpkins for sale at my local grocery store.

Michaels and Kroger both have the Halloween items out!
