The bug has chomped upon me with mighty jaws, my friends. In fact, I was mulling the notion of starting a similar thread not too long ago...good thinking tantraman, and good to see you back onboard!
The day following July 4th, as someone else mentioned, certainly ramps the fever up a few notches, but it seems my Halloween state of mind grows exponentially stronger when the calendar transitions from May to June, as well.
I certainly am not in the business of rushing through the joys of the present, but I perceive June 1 as the final turn introducing the (sometimes dragging) home stretch with Halloween season at its end.
Once goodies hit the shelves, I'm in all out Halloween mode, and September 1st is my own personal official commencement of the present year's Halloween season.
As a quick aside (if you're still reading

) I was grocery shopping yesterday and happened upon an unlikely surprise. Hanging within the candy aisle was a bag of (albeit off brand, I'm a big Brach's fan) candy corn! I was under the assumption stores only carried this hotly debated treat (you either love it or hate it, there is no in-between) in the Fall. Needless to say, I purchased a bag and enjoyed a handful before I started the engine to drive home. As I was relishing the nostalgic sugary flavor, for a split instant, I was in October. Life's simple pleasures, my friends.
