The ending of the original "Friday the 13th," was pretty scary, but I also remember when one of the girls had to run to the washroom. She enters the washroom, and you see the shadow of an axe on the wall, and then she turns around and before she can even react, she ends up having an "axe-a-dent." (narf narf) It was pretty gory, and it scared the beejeebers out of my gf who I was dating at the time.

There are a lot of gory ways they kill people in those old slasher films. Personaly I'm a bigger fan of the gothic style horror stories, like "Dracula," or "The Wolf Man" or gothic style tv shows like "Dark Shadows."

Jason was most clever when killing people in the slasher movies.

I thought Freddy Krueger was more creative then Jason, though Jason was undoubetedly a murder engine in his own right.

Hard to compare Mike because Freddy has advantage of supernatural because he is in dreams and not real. That open up new murder techniques.

Jason was a supernatural creature, too. He was originaly a mentaly challenged boy who presumedly drowned, but he came back as t his un stoppable killing machine. He survived electrocution, drowning, and even burial alive. He was kept alive by pure evil, so he had supernaturel power and super strength.

True, but both characters have supernatural powers, and are kept alive by some sort of supernatural evil. Freddy is brought back by dreams, and Jason is brought back by pure evil.

It was the electric shok that woke Jason up, but Jason was kept alive by pure evil. Don't forget, he was laying at the bottom of that lake for months, or perhaps even years. It's unlikely anyone would survive that unless there was a supernatural forec at work.
