I made this last year.
I took a big plastic witches caldron and filled it with spray insulation. It bubbles up and overflows the top and oozes down the sides. While it was still wet I added plastic stuff like lizzards, spiders and eyeballs. After it was dry I lightly sprayed it with green spray paint. It turned out so cool I am making another to look like it turned over and poured out on the ground.

I'm making a Witch's Kitchen. I have to put labels on my jars and make a few more things, but here's the work I did on it this weekend:

Sadly, most of my stuff involves orange and punkins. I was thinking about making something this year, but we live in an apartment and space is limited. Suggestions would be appreciated. Someday when I have a house, I will have a Halloween workshop and do stuff year round so I am always ready for the next season!

Right now? Guts... I've been working on sewing these intestines for the past several weeks... takes FOREVER. Bleh! But, they look and move real. Who'd have thought some kids' size nylons and stuffing could go so far?

Image

Also, I'm still working on those ID Badges. FINALLY got a mock-up this week. Though, there are some changes I want to make before I'll call it El Fin.

...and, of course, the gurney... and corpse.

It's starting to look good! ... even though I have it piled high with my latest prizes...

Nice intestines! :D I was trying to come up with an idea for intestines that I can use for a zombie movie I would like to make for school. You wouldn't mind if I used your would ya?

Go ahead... I'll warn you, it's a lot of work with a needle and thread. What you see there has taken me about 4-6 hours to hand sew... but it's a cheap project. Kid Nylons can be found at the dollar store, and poly-fiberfill is about $2-4 a bag.... depending on where you get it. Don't forget a needle and thread.

Can't I just tie string around them?

I just finished making some candle holders using skulls that I bought at WM. They were pretty simple to make.
If you want to make your own.

First find a branch the size and look that you want. I have 3 different branches coming out on mine.
I used as a base a 2x6 mabe 6" long. Then on top of that I took a scrap of 2x4 drilled a hole in the middle to slide my stick into, then screwed it to the top of the 2x6.
Then I wrapped my branch with some black gawz. The skulls are styro so I just placed them where I wanted and pushed them down, then took it back off and added hot glue in hole and put it back on. The bigger branch in middle I had to make a hole first. On the top I pretty much did the same, decided where I wanted the candles and then dug out a hole for them to sit in.

This is my first year making anything substantial... in addition to the 6 costumes I'm sewing!!! I've gone a little crazy this year, but I'm loving it:

Pierre($14 blucky & papier mache), I plan to make a coffin for him this weekend:
