A Few Oriental Trading Company Buys

Post by HalloweenMelanie » Sun Aug 31, 2008 8:13 pm

Hey, all. This is my second OTC purchase so far this year. :) I spent about $60 total. This is only a fraction of the stuff I have, I'm just posting it here because much of it will be in the new catalog we've all been receiving and I wanted to show how some items look "in real life"/close up:

Two owls (real feathers...I like these):

Rubber black cat:

Tabletop gargoyles...two are shown here; I think five come in the package:

Image

Hanging pirate...the bars are cloth...I didn't know that...they may straighten out as they hang a little bit:

Image

Door decoration; I like how this looks:

Image

Second door decoration...I dislike this one...MUCH cheaper/cheesier looking than it seemed in the catalog:

Image

Chain for fence with skeletons (the skeletons here are still in bubblewrap):

Image

"Eyes" which are meant to be stuck in the bushes...I think there are 4 pairs in the package...I haven't opened it yet:

Some of those I saw in past catalogs. Some I never saw before. I must have missed a catalog!!

No, I ordered these online about two months ago. :) They have a lot more stuff online than in the catalogs. But if you receive catalogs in the mail, these should be in the next one as it should be the Halloween issue.

But if they're not...they are online. :)

I thought you ordered these from a catalog. Yeah, I know about there website. Thats how I ordered there catalog.

The pirate in a cage looks A LOT different from the one in the picture in the catalog.

That's what I thought too. I was a little disappointed with that one! But he'll hang outside anyway. At nighttime he'll probably look at least a bit scary.

I did not mean it that way. It still looks awesome!! The skull just looks slightly different (But still scary! ) and the cage looks all wiggly because they are cloth.. But it looks more scary when they look all twisted and wiggly because the bars look all bent and old.
