Halloween decorating with a 1.25 year old...

So this Halloween my little monster well be 1.25 so I was prepared to decorate a little different. Mainly moving breakable a little higher. My monster is intrigued by some decorations like the spectors backing from her ceiling fan. She is indifferent to others random skulls and such. However there are some decorations that I assumed she would love...and I was wrong. We have 3 Hallmark singing/animated stuffed animal type things. She loves music so I figured she would love these guys...nope!

These two through a little shower introduction plus giving them some hugs/kisses I got get to be ok with and even activate.

Everyone I think we're making progress we go back to bring scared. Well I'm sure she'll like them next year. How did your monsters take to your decorations at a similar age?

My oldest loved it all but my youngest still doesn't like it to much and she's 18. I raised them both the same, go figure, ones a horror buff & the other is not.

Maybe the Frankenstein bothers her because it is more similar to a person? My daughter never could stand dolls, except for Barbies, which were so small that they couldn't be confused with a person. Otherwise, dolls frightened her.

Also, you said she likes music, but if you notice, the Frankenstein doesn't sing so much as he raps. He is less musical in that way.

When my boys were little, we lived in an upstairs apartment. My Halloween decorating consisted of a jack-o-lantern outside. We would TOT on a nearby street where people went all out for the festivities, but my older boy (the only one old enough to participate back then) got into it pretty quickly when he saw all the other children and the candy.

I started doing more decorating when we moved to a house, but by then my older boy was 5 and knew the score. I think the younger kids followed his cues.

My daughter (now 17) loves Halloween cute, but is turned off by Halloween gruesome. Middle son seems more or less indifferent, except to the candy. Older son, who is on his own now, has been known to throw a Halloween party or two. He is like me and enjoys all holidays.

She has a few life like food that don't bother her. I don't know about indifference to rap music we've exposed her to pretty much every kind of music. I thought the fun tempo of "The Monster Mash" would get her going. She was ok when I showed her the opening scene of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" . I think it's the dancing that scares her. As long as she doesn't end up being one of those people that hate Halloween.

Oh, I expect she'll come around! Little girls usually like dressing up in the costumes.

A six foot tall Barbie couldn't be confused with a real person either.

So exciting news through playing it over and over near her and lots of hugs for the plush my daughter has come around and now even activates it on her own!
