Yes that is how I look at it now.
Well-said, Mac.
If I don't know a customer, I will wish them happy holidays.
That man who got angry was just evil about it. I kind of lean towards your analysis...it was his attempt at self aggrandizement.
Or he just felt like unloading on someone. Heh.
I do respect peoples' various belief systems and just go on my happy way.

Yep, that's certainly one way to handle it... And who says there can't be "peace on earth" and "good will towards men" at Christmastime!

Really! Cause if there's one thing that lights, bells, tinsel, and wreaths aren't about, it's spreading goodwill and cheer!! And while your leaving, take your tidings of comfort and joy with you too!!!

Hahahaha!
Yeah you know? I just decided no one is going to stop me from saying Merry Christmas!
If they say something, I'll just say well Happy Holidays and leave it at that.
And tinsel makes me happy too...just like holiday snow and the smell of evergreen.

I like to say "Merry ChristmaHanaKwanzaRamadan!" Then I'm not offending anybody! (or I'm offending EVERYBODY... Either way, it balances out!)
