My twenties seems like ages ago and I try not to dwell on the past or compare myself at that age as I feel like I have learned so much and experienced so much between now and then...I'm a father now and I see things a little differently as far as life goes.

Yes, injuries are slower to heal but I also am wiser and don't get injured as much as I did...but yet when I need that boost or extra bit of strength I have it and I can still play a game of Basketball and kick the *&^% out of some of the younger kids I play against. I don't need to prove anything to them or to myself...at the end of the day it's just me and although they call me the 'old man' at work they still respect my thoughts and opinions...

My back hurts too but it did in my late twenties as well...so I have learned to manage it and deal with it...but that part sucks.

when I was in my early 20's I used to work in a cultured marble shop, we manufactured and installed all sorts of marble, counter tops, bathroom sinks, showers, all sorts....I used to lift a lot of it by myself and I think thats when I did the damage to my back but it didnt really start showing until I got to be about mid 30's and it wasnt too bad other then occasional aches and stiffness, no big deal but the beginning of this year, as some of you might remember I really twisted my back, I couldnt move, went to the ER twice, ect....well, a few days ago I was sitting on the floor and reached over to pick something up, not even heavy, and pinched it again and since then my back has been aching and stiff and feels like any minute I'm going to be stuck on the floor unable to move again......I could do with out this back issue, everything else I can live with.....

I don't celebrate birthdays anymore, either! :D
But partying is thoroughly acceptable. ;)

Thanks for the birthday wishes guys. I got a present in the form of a giant rainstorm. Been raining all day. It's a nice break from the 4 straight weeks of sun and heat we've had. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Thanks again.
