Hope so! Now I have about a week to run around like a chicken with their head cut off to get ready.

I already have a tent that I want to use. I managed to get a really good deal on it at CVS. I spent about $20! You spend around $70 or more usually on these tents and I've seen some go for about $200! I was tipped off by someone who does gourd art that she got hers at the Pharmacy really cheap since they don't move as fast as they would at a place like Walmart. (No one thinks about getting lawn decorations and paraphernalia at CVS! lol)

Now I just need a table and a way to display the paintings...oh gosh so much to do plus classes start tomorrow! Eep! Well going to be busy as a bee that's for sure. :)

Glad you got a good deal on the tent! You probably hit end-of-season discounts, too.

Yeah end of season discounts are nice to have Murf!

Here's some miniature pumpkins that I'll have available for sale at the Farmer's Market:

Well guys, I sold two of my pumpkin at the Farmer's Market. I got a bit extra because someone else didn't want the acorns with the little house pumpkin, but someone gave me some money for them separately anyway.
I earned a little over enough to pay the entry fee which was nice because it's only $10 here. The guy next to me was a produce vendor and he and his wife bought my two pumpkins. He also gave me a bunch of free tomatoes and peppers so I'm planning on making homemade chili out of them. Not a big loss but I plan on doing better next time!

Another plus side...I received a ton of compliments for my work. At least they liked it! I don't know if it's because I priced it too high (or maybe not high enough according to someone who sells gourds!) but it's definitely not due to the quality of the paintings which is a relief for me. I'd hate to not sell my work because people don't think it's good enough.

Oh, Mau, I was thinking about you today, wondering how it went. I am glad you covered your expenses! That is a good thing. And you learned a bit for next time, too. Chalk it up to a learning experience.

I hope the chili turns out well!

We're doing our chili today since it's easier to do stuff like that on a Sunday. :)

I think I'll make more painted acorns...and I may lower the prices of some of the paintings and see how that goes. The vendor next to me gave me some advice so we'll see how things go next Saturday. :)

Sounds like your fellow vendors are a nice community of folks!

They are really nice folks! :) Gave me some pretty good advice too I think.

I might try and go again next Saturday instead...this has been one hectic week!

Yes, you want it to be something pleasurable, not a burden or a chore.

Well Murf it's starting to feel like a chore trying to paint my pumpkins and stuff only to have maybe two of them sell. It's very discouraging too. And most people who commented on my paintings made it sound like they already had too much "junk" at home and weren't interested in buying more. Not that they said that specifically, but that's what it felt like.

But I'm not giving up yet. I'm trying a few new tricks and see how that goes.

I haven't sold my earrings at the market yet either...and I'm going to introduce some new designs...like these:

So I'm hoping it works out. It rained this Saturday anyway so the weather sort of worked in my favor. There are only a couple more Farmer's markets left though, so it's now or never.

Perhaps the jewelry will sell better. I hope so!
