I wish that we had a [Mr.] Burns night. I'd mark my calendar every year :) I think I read a post a while back from someone in...England maybe? It was talking about home haunter awards called "The Willies". I think we need to adopt that over here and make the award a statue of GroundsKeeper Willie

hi pumpkin56,a HAGGIS is a wonderful tasty dish which uses sheeps offal (the bits nowadays often discarded ,lungs, hearts, livers)The cooked mince offal is mixed with suet, oatmeal, seasoning, and encased in the sheeps stomach, once stitched up,the stuffed stomach is boiled up to 3hrs,thats what we have on burns night january 25th,with potatoes and turnip, try it plase you will LOVE it :D

Well, I may read some Burns tonight in honor of his day, but I won't be able to do the full-fledged Burns Night meal. Weds. is a busy night for us. Daughter has Glee Club after school, then my husband and I have to go to church choir fairly early. I'll be baking a pork meal in the oven this afternoon so we'll have time to eat in between the two activities.

Thanks for reminding me about Robert Burns & his poetry, though. He is worth revisiting.
