Shane thought he had to sacrifice Otis or he would have been dead by zombies. Still that was coward act by Shane.

Coward act? He did what he had to do to ensure that at least one of them survived and got the backpack back to the farm. He tried to stay behind but Otis wouldn't let him. No, it's not an act of a coward to make a tough decision, and live with it. What he said in the last episode makes me thing he's going to have a tough time doing that.

But he shoot Otis in the leg so he stumbled and got ate by the zombie. To me that coward action.

I agree with NeverMore. I know I would have made the same decision if it was me in that position.

I've seen a quick peek of episode 4 after 3 finished with the whole "next time on 'the Walking Dead'..." & i'm guessing you're talking about the funeral scene NeverMore, when Shane says a few words. I reckon someone will figure out what he did & I believe that person will be Daryl. Just my thoughts anyway. :)

Maybe he cripple Otis because Otis was an overweight guy? Shane did survive but don't seem like he made best effort to both be alive. It was time for a dead though so no worries. 8)

this show is developing characters and background right now and I agree it is pretty boring. I wish they would find the little girl and move on from the farm house, these last few episodes have been pretty slow and boring

RUMOR HAS IT THAT WHEN AMC FIRED FRANK DARABONT THAT A CAST MEMBER WAS VERY VOCAL ABOUT NOT BEING HAPPY ABOUT AND WANTING TO LEAVE.

NOW SUPPOSEDLY THEY WANT TO STAY BUT THE PRODUCERS MAY WRITE THEM OFF ANYWAY.

PEOPLE SEEM TO THINK IT IS EITHER LAURIE HOLDEN (ANDREA) OR JEFFREY DEMUNN (DALE) SINCE THEY WORK WITH DARABONT A LOT.

THE LOGICAL CHOICE, IF IT IS TRUE, WOULD BE THE DEATH OF DALE SINCE THEY SET UP ANDREA HOOKING UP WITH SHANE. IN THE COMICS DALE AND ANDREA WERE A COUPLE AND SHANE WAS LONG DEAD BY NOW.

I'm liking this show! I checked it out over Halloween and I'm hooked.
The same for American Horror Story.

I think it's high time they pop the old dude and take over his farm, before he gets them all eaten. They should give Shane the job. He can pop the old dude from their own group while he's at it... Him and his stupid hat really get on my nerves.
