What's funny is that sometimes and some women out there like to be 'owned' or like a man that controls them....and some of course can't stand it and think it is degrading...just goes to show you there are extremes to everything...

This discussion is so funny, because it completely reminds me of the Kagan hearings yesterday, and a response by Sen. Klobuchar to a comment made by Sen. Coburn:

Sometimes, when they go to a floor vote, I play "Name That Senator" where I try to shout out the name, state, and party of the Senators as they walk into view of the cameras. Bonus points when I identify them only by seeing the back of their heads!!!

"Mark Begich! Alaska! Democrat!!"

"Lindsey Graham! South Carolina! Republican!"

"Claire McCaskill! Democrat! Missouri!!"

Ahhh.....good times.........

If you get the name, state, and party correct, do you take a shot of scotch?

The boys would groan about the home ec classes, and the girls would whine about the wood shop stuff, but I loved all of those classes, and came away with wood working and sewing skills I use in my graveyard, and it got me into cooking, which is good, because you need food to keep up your strength over the long month of October! That was back in the very early nineties, and I'd imagine that's probably still the way they do it.

And I don't wear pj's, but I would love a pair of dog-print lounge pants!
Bah! I remember the early 90's when I was in Jr high (what some of you may call "middle school" ) I remember HATING that sewing class-- because I already knew how to sew-- and that blasted cooking class (because I knew how to cook too)... I took home ec classes for wood shop and drafting. I still have the lamp I made too!

Too bad you weren't in my home ec class Mac, I got in a "discussion" with the teacher because I wanted a rectangular pillow and I didn't want to do any applique stuff on it. But part of the grade was learning to iron junk on something you like to make it yucky.

I sew all my own costumes... and I never use applique. Yuck!

If you send me the dog-print fabric, I'll sew you up some drawstring lounge pants.... but only if you keep the political BS out of this thread. =P
