Well if Summer would hurry up and get here, I do believe that the Covid 19 pandemic will be relegated to History for once and for all. From what I heard, fewer cases are being reported, and I think there were like one or two reported in my county, and about the same number on the adjoining county.

Our northwest beaches rarely get that warm.

Yes, I understand that the Pacific Northwest stays pretty temperate, which is usually a good thing. Maybe not so much this year.

The area where I was born raised and, recently moved back to, is part of the north american rainforest.

It's an amazing place.

Looks pretty! It has been cooler here for the last few weeks than normal, but the last 4-5 days have been into the 80s. Hopefully that helps here.

(As an aside, it seems to me that in many places the so-called experts overreacted when they didn't need to. They've had it wrong from the start.

Was reading this earlier and it seems to be pretty accurate:

Laurie Andersen put this out after the 07 collapse and it's still pertinent.

It isn't just the mountains in Oregon that hold me spellbound.

I live in the southern tip of the Willamette Valley, a vast agricultural valley.

One thing that never, ever gets old is watching storms roll across the landscape, individually or in groups.

It's mesmerizing.

That is a great picture!

And the lyrics were true - only an expert can see there’s a problem.

Those are some beautiful photos there. Makes me want to visit the Pacific North West. Perhaps a 'haunted road trip' is in the future.

You wouldn't be disappointed, the world is different here.

I definitely want to make a 'haunted road trip' out there. I bet there are a lot of scary abandoned places there, too.

My older son and I were just speaking tonight about the possibility of following the Lewis and Clark trail out West. We had planned to go to Europe this summer (seriously planned, as in, tickets purchased), but that's not happening. So we want to do something equally dramatic stateside. Those photos are amazing!

Lewis and Clark trail would be a fun trip. Something is kike to do eventually too. Perhaps using an RV given the insanity now.

I wonder how Halloween will be this year?

An interesting thing about Lewis and Clark, my realtor when I moved in 1999 was “Barbara Lewis Lester” (she died a few years ago) and her great x 2 (or 3?) grandfather was Meriwether Lewis (and Meriwether is her daughter’s name). Funny when you learn stuff like that.

That sounds like an interesting trip, and I agree that an RV would be the best way to go given all the insanity going on in today's world, but that's a little too rich for my blood these days. I also would like to find some really creepy places to take photos of.

As for Halloween this year, Covid 19 or no Covid 19, I am going to celebrate it with GUSTO this October. I think Trick or Treat is pretty much out of the question. It was already a dyeing tradition to begin with, and now this pandemic has probably put the final nail in it's coffin. That won't stop me from having a cook-out, and showing old horror movies out on my drive way, however. Loud records will also be in the mix.

Yeah, we won’t be doing an RV this year either. Maybe in a few years. At least here, I think trick or treat is up in the air. I’d frankly be surprised if it didn’t happen, but we have 5 months so who knows what will happen. 😀
