I think we're all in agreement that one Bella and one Witchy are all we can handle.
In that case I will make hundreds of us, just to see the look in your eye's!!

All warm and buttery, or maybe with a little dab of jam?
We'll all be over to have a mug of coffee with ya!

Oh Johnny cakes are yummy! I had them at camp, and at first I wasn't too sure.
Then on the first bite I was hooked.

I don't have anything to post that made me particularly happy today, but here are some things that have happened this past week that were pretty good:

1. I'm taking a math course at the community college here. My grades so far have been pretty decent without having to study much. Anyway, the material has gotten a little harder and I took a test last Tuesday. Most of the other students in my class said they felt this was the hardest test so far, feeling like we've failed it. Prior to taking the test, I felt confident, but not overly confident -- comfortable that I understood everything that would be on the test, but I completely blanked when I looked at the test, as if I was reading Japanese! I was certain that I failed it, brutallly, walking out of there with a bad feeling, and felt I'd be lucky to barely pass it and the best I could picture myself getting would be a 70. To my surprise, I got a 71, which isn't that great, but when you've convinced yourself you've failed, it was a great feeling.

2. While at Wal-Mart picking up some more Christmas lights, I found a new one. They've always had clear lights on a green wire, but this year I found FROSTED WHITE LIGHTS ON A GREEN WIRE! For me, these beat out the clear ones. You wouldn't think there's much of a difference, but there is. I'm in love with these lights! I have red/green/frosted white on one the same light string, and red/frosted white on the same string, but have never seen just frosted white! I was thrilled to get these home and can't wait to put them up.

3. The icing on the cake -- my son's football team won the Super Bowl! I'm not a football fan AT ALL! Was not raised in a sports-enthusiastic household -- no brothers and a non-sports-minded father. But when your kid is playing on a team, it's an entirely different story.

I ran out of character limit, so here's the rest of my post.

My son plays for the SCFL, which stands for South County Football League. It's big here. The ages range from five through 12. We were the Senior Colts and we beat the undefeated team, the Senior Steelers. It was a great game! Us parents were wired! The energy level was awesome. This team was amazing -- out of the other teams my son played on in previous years, I didn't feel the same sense of family and unity as with this team. With other teams, I didn't feel as if I'd miss people nor want to stay friends with anyone. With this team, I will be still getting together with the other people. I watched the DVD of our game by myself this morning and actually got choked up and was crying! Isn't that the dorkiest thing! There are always little things that stand out in particular -- for example, right before the start of the game, when the teams went out on the field, our boys were holding hands. I don't have much of a desire to watch NFL games, but I can watch this over and over again. It was such an exciting weekend!
