hahahaa ok cool
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Hmmmm... I would be completely fine with it if they canceled Christmas this year.

I think I'm converting to Islam for the next two months. :?

The thing is, I really do love Christmas. In fact, it was my favorite holiday at one point in my life, but that was a long time ago. I am very sentimental about holidays like Christmas. I value TRADITION above all when it comes to Christmas, Thanksgiving and other holidays. When we moved to New Lenox, Christmas TRADITION, like so many others, were pushed aside to make way for "new-fangled" ideas and junk philosophies that were force fed to me from the day we moved into that house until I left it 9 years later.

I am not going to go into all kinds of details, but sufice it to say,......well, I guess not only sound like a sentimental old bitty, I AM a sentimental old bitty. I'm pushing 50, and I love my TRADITIONS at all times of the year, but especialy at Thanksgiving and Christmas time.

Michael's had this mini Christmas Tree on sale today so I picked one up.
All I need to add are mini lights, which I probably have at home in my 'box of things I buy but never get around to using'. :P

I bought a couple of Christmas movies a couple of weeks ago. "A Year Without a Santa Clause," and "The House Without a Christmas Tree." I will be screaning them in December, along with various other Christmas specials that I have on DVD and VHS.

I'm on the lookout for this movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089731/

I unabashedly admit that this one makes me cry like a baby at the impossible ending. :cry:
