I carved this little guy this morning. It's been on my desk with a painted face all week but since it's Halloween at work today I couldn't let him just sit there.

Hi Andybev01, does you pumkin look like you too, mystifying? I't slways nice to have halloween at work. At my old job I was in charge of the Holiday parties, we had a costume contest & a pumpkin carving contest, I ordered dounuts, muffins & scones, coffee, hot choc. & hot apple cider that was just in the morning, at lunch I ordered 6 seven foot long subs & played Haloween music over the intercome. It was great!!! I wonder what they are going to do this year? I always took care of the holidays & Halloween was always the best!!! Witchy

Our company (like most) is being frugal this year. No prizes or contests but as in years passed we are having a potluck and people are dressed up and have decorated their work spaces.

I have already checked and we are getting our 'holiday' tree as usual. It's a fresh cut 9-12' beauty that makes the whole building smell like the forest.

Thats wonderful!! I love the smell of fresh cut trees for Christmas.
I got laid off due to the ecomomy. Oh well, I have had a lot of time with my family, & with that being said they ask me to temp all next week. Go figure? Witchy

Gee, looks like my satellite is working okay today.

I got up at 5AM and watched various Turner oldies until my 'mates awoke. Even though I had a proper supply of pumpkins I had to go over to the coast for an errand and strange magnetic pumpkin rays pulled me into a patch that I don't usually stop at. I picked up a couple of the Cinderella's in striking reds to keep out until Thanksgiving. The pix below are from this morning. The fog was pulling back to the ocean so the light was fantastic.

Then when I got home I went to work on the 'regular' ones and carved 1 traditional smilin' Jack and one quasi-abstract which is nothing more than punched holes.

The 'mates went to the store and I put dry ice on the list 'cause I completely spaced it on the way home last night.

Why yes, yes I did. Because that's absolutely a picture of me in my avatar, and definitely not Davis Gaines.

Thanks Bella, I love pumpkins.

I took Jack out to the red oak in the pasture today for his formal protrait for 2009.

It's 75 degrees outside and just an absolutely stunning November day!!!
