I've used a Ouija board before, but nothing strange ever happened...Probably b/c me and my friends never actually took it seriously and would pretty much laugh the whole time. I'm not sold on it anyway tho.

I have used them, have had interesting things happen with them. I have had to banish one that got a little out of hand but no big deal really. It is a tool. It can not will not cause trouble on it's own.

Just the same, icewitch, I would never have one in my house, nor would I ever take part in a saiance or allow a saiance to be held in my house. Chalk it up to my Catholic upbringing if you will, but I just don't mess around with the realm of spirits.

I agree with PM, and anyways, the idea of ghosties in my house scares me. What if they wouldn't go away?!

If they don't go away you either make friends or you banish them. I guess I am used to living in haunted places. You have to protect yourself if you are going to mess with seances. You never go into one of those half cocked.

The only problem is that you don't know who you are befriending. It could be an unclean spirit.

I think that is a point where your religion plays a part. I have "lived" with bump, our resident ghost, for about ten years. Never a malicious deed has been experienced. I did have an house with a nasty energy in it though. Bump mostly hides things, and runs around the house and slams doors. Even my kids are comfy with him.

If you want to know about Ouija boards, type it into a search engine and see what you come up with. There are horror stories. Icewitch, it seems you lucked out when you were able to get rid of whatever it was with a simple banishing, the things I read about were nasty!

Icewitch, my religion definatly does play a part in the way I think. Please don't think that I am trying to convert you or preach the Gospel, but the Theologens who have warned me against using ouija boards and participating in saiences have Masters Degrees, and even PhDs in the field, and know what they are talking about. I don't doubt that your friend "bump" is an unclean spirit, but there's so much we don't know about the realm of spirits, and it's just not a good idea to open ourselvs to it.

My niece wanted to have a saence at my house when she heard that my house had a ghost. I would not allow it, and tried to persuade her not to do it any place else.

I am sure there are many experiences both horrific and benign. I hold no ones religion against them. I also celebrate the differences of opinion on topics. I have had bad experiences too, just not with Ouija boards. I will not hold a seance at least not without proper protection and have to date not held any and have advised many against. But that said I think that someone in he party in either ouija, or seance must have the ability to connect. I have watched people "play at the board" with nothing there just pushing it around so to speak, I have seen a different group in the same room actually have it operate with a "spirit".

I am not in any way shape or form telling anyone to do anything that is against their belief system. I can not in good faith do that. I am a firm believer in the power of the mind, be it protective or self fulfilling. Perhaps that is why my adventures have been within my means to control, the power of my mind, the belief that I can indeed handle that and all it brings forth. If you do not feel such conviction then you should not delve. If you feel danger you should not delve.

I can not simply choose to open myself or close myself to these things, I have been surrounded by them since I was small, my task was to learn to control the situation. I am in the process of teaching my son, who also see things without trying or wanting to, to have control.

the beauty of it that it is after all a personal choice.

i just wish alot more people in this world today would use choice more wisley, it sounds like you're are very responsible, and seem to be good at seances and things of that nature, but it makes me mad to know that some people want to call dark spirtis up just to cause trouble... it sucks :/
