My favorite Halloween Candle is Yankee Candle's Witches Brew. Gotta stock up while they're out.

I got the Dan Quayle reference almost right away. I would have gotten it sooner, but I can't seem to stop randomly ranting at empty chairs.
Bought two wee tombstones with led lights in them at the Stop & Shop today. They were on sale for two bucks a pop. I just couldn't resist!

Yesterday I stopped into my local grocery store to buy my week's supply of diet Mountain Dew, and the pumpkins were already in crates wtiting to be put out. I bet when I stop in there today to pick up some luncheon meat for tomorrow they will be on display.

There is at least one seasonal Halloween store open already I can't wait to find time to go. Still no sight of a Spirit though.

this year I found myself in a unique position. I'm a high school teacher, so I have fairly "regular" hours (M-F days, not counting the odd work at home). My wife found out that she was going to be working some evenings this fall, so I was going to have some extra free time. That combined with the need for a little extra cash (we have our first baby coming in late November!) caused me to make a decision I've been wanting to make for many years: at the age of 33, I applied & was hired as a salesperson by our local Spirit store! Ive worked a couple of days so far (we opened last Thursday), and its awesome! Working in that atmosphere....well, it is just about perfect for anyone who is signed onto this board
oh, and did I mention 25% discount?

Drool........I would love to work there, but I am going to visit my dad in Oct. so not a good time to get a job, then have to ask off.
Ohh And your going to have a BABY, Awww!! I miss mine being little, enjoy them while you can, in a bat of an eye they will be all grown up and gone!! Halloween with little one makes it soo much more fun!! Congrats!!!!!

That's why I like the mom & pop store we have here, Halloween World South. They have new stuff every year and most of their stock is different then the chain stores. Party City, if there's one near you, also tends to have different stuff.
