Re: Anyone started decorating Halloween?
That's a very sweet thing to do for your lost pets Murfreesboro. Sadly, two of our cats have passed on this year, we buried them out back. There's three little marked graves, Rusty passed on a couple years ago, and his sister and littermate Kitty died back in June of this year. Buddy, who was unexpectedly diagnosed with heart disease, had to be put down because of the cost of treatments and medications, along with a poor prognosis which proved it just wasn't worth it. He'd just suffer. I still mourn their loss. Kitty was up in years but poor Buddy was only 6.
On another note...Far as I'm concerned, the only reason I could think of not to decorate for Halloween is if I was going on a trip for Halloween that year. And I'd just love to visit Salem Massachusetts for Halloween at least once in my life. Even then, I might still put a few things out, and if I was working in an office, you bet I'd decorate that office. I'm even going to see if I can talk the boss lady at work into letting me decorate the smoke shop.

This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

Thanks Mac.
Well I started getting some Halloween stuff here and there, and some new stuff. I think I'm in full blown Halloween spirit now though. Everywhere I go I've got Halloween on the mind.

Re: Anyone started decorating Halloween?
Yes and no.
I have bought a few new things. A beautiful skeleton hand with a raven on the finger tip candle holder, a glass pumpkin, a paper machet cat, and I am half way finished with a tree I am making.
Those things are already on display. I will start pulling out my rubbermaid totes this weekend. I like to slowly add things so I can enjoy my favorite things. My Halloween tree is the biggest venture and it will go up the 1st day of Fall.
Outside Halloween will wait until Oct 1st. The really freaky stuff will wait until the week before Halloween.

Re: Anyone started decorating Halloween?
The weather was so gosh-darned nice over the weekend that I didn't get around to setting out my Spooky Town stuff.
I have the house to myself this weekend so I think I will give it another attempt, put spooky music on loud and shut my brain off.

My wife and I have more Halloween stuff then all the other holidays combines. However it is still not enough for us...sigh if only we had more funds. Anyway more to the point I think we'll give it one more weekend and get it all set up.

Re: Anyone started decorating Halloween?
I have all of my weekends booked starting Oct 2nd. I WILL have my stuff out by the end of next weekend. It will officially be Fall and the last weekend before October.
I have pulled out a few things, but the favorite things will have to wait until Sat. when I have time to give them the love and attention they deserve.
So excited!
How dorky is that?

Re: Anyone started decorating Halloween?
If it's dorky, call me King Dork! I've been digging into boxes in the basement, and this week I'll be hauling up sections of fence from the back yard in prep for the big day, October 1st. I never put up anything until then, but on that day, I'm up early in the morning, and by evening, I usually have up the fencing, the tombstones, some monsters, the severed limb tree, and a few strings of lights. I can't believe Halloweenmonthday is ten days away!!!

Shanda your not a dork, Mac maybe, but not you!! ( just kidding Mac!!)
I have 80% of my inside Halloween stuff out, now just to finish it, then in Oct I'll put up my Halloween decor outside, I can't wait!!
On Oct 2nd we have 2 birthday parties to attend, and my youngest has Homecoming, so not much decorating on that day!! But on the up swing my youngest will be off school for fall break that following week, then we'll go to the pumpkin patches and go to all the halloween stores together, I luv that!!
