Good Halloween Movies for Kids

Post by Haunted Horseman » Fri May 25, 2007 11:08 pm

I recently caught a pretty good Disney Movie for Kids..Hocus Pocus (1993). Its a cute Halloween story. Bet Milder and Sara Jessica Parker star in it. It even got a chuckle out of me during the scene with the Gary and Penny Marshall cameos. I'd give it thumbs up.... Anyone have any others they can recommend?

Hi, Yes, The Haunted Mansion with Eddy Murphy, very well done. And I don't know if it would rate here as Halloweenish, but what about The Addams Family, and Addams Family Values? If the kids in question are Teens, what about Practical Magic I thought it was good, teens might enjoy it more then the wee little ones though. What about Charlie Brown Halloween movies?

I was thinking about buying Hocus Pocus, is it good, what could it be similar too, Haunted Mansion syle? Or is it way over the top to the point of being to silly? didn't know so I haven't bought it yet.

Have placed my order for Death Becomes Her though. Loved that movie :)

I babysit for three little ones 9 and under and Hocus Pocus is still too scary for them. Although they do like Halloweentown and that whole series. As for Haunted Mansion, they are scared of that one too but not as much as Hocus Pocus.

Oh and then there was monster house! They were even scared of that one - although I didn't expect it to be so creepy. But they were all good - I guess I just have to wait till they hit 10.

I am ashamed to admitt I have not seen the nightmare before christmas. And I went to blockbuster the other day to rent it - but they did not have it. And Target did not have it in stock to buy. So I think I may have to hit up ebay.
