Oh thanks, Myersfan
That site looks good!
They even have the jointed pumpkin goblin man that I have.
I'll go crazy getting stuff!

I finally started to scan some of the better pages from that book I bought last month, Timeless Halloween Collectables.

Here's the first one.

The witch is obviously the star in that photo ( :D ) but what is that interesting little building near the bottom?

I recently saw this really cool Halloween tree in a store. As I got a closer look so I could see the price, it wasn't for sale ... it was just there for displaying lights and smaller decorations. Anyway, it looked really easy to make. All it was was a few large branches painted black and secured together with some sturdy tape, and placed in a bucket. I might give this a try ... each year I'm on the look-out for one project, and this might be the one for this Halloween.

Hi Sue, they are very easy to make I had two kinds, one was a small Christmas tree painted black & the other was just limbs from an old Weeping Cherry tree I found & painted black. I used Black electrical tape & a bucket for the base. The effect is very cool!! I hope you enjoy making yours as much as I did!! :)

my wife looked high and low last year after Halloween looking for a 4ft black tree to use, she finally found one with red lights on it, then she hunted ebay for things to put on it......too bad we wont see it this year :(

I think trees are traditional at Christmas time, not Halloween. Halloween in the 1960s is what I miss the most. We had some fabulous decorations, and I was a little kid back then, so the fun was better. The candy was also better, and we trusted our neighbors. There were no 'horror stories' about razor blades in apples, or poisenous candy bars. One of our neighbors made THE MOST delectible pop corn balls I ever ate in my life. I can still tast them to this very day. She made them herslef from scratch, and they became one of my favorite, and long missed Halloween traditions.
