My daughter's going to finally be able to have some friends spend the night. Hubby and son are out of town for a basketball tournament in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He's one of these people who's not thrilled with the kids hosting sleep overs. I don't mind them. The girls are 15 and 16, so it's not like they're little kids who have to be constantly watched. I hosted a slumber party for my daughter's eighth birthday, and there were 10 seven- and eight-year-olds running around with me being the only adult there. You can imagine how crazy that must have been, or how crazy I must have been to have done that in the first place! With tonight's party there are only going to be three or four of girls. Now, there may be some drama, as two of the girls are not too fond of each other because of a boy. So, on that note, things might get interesting. :|

High school sleepovers... fond memories I wish I had.

Sound like fun though. Get them a movie with full male nudity in it and that fight about the boy will be over quickly.

It turned out that the two girls got along great, despite the boy issue! The problem was with this other girl, who my daughter kicked out. This girl went on to an Internet chat room and was posting her personal info! My daughter told her it wasn't cool and to stop, but this girl gave my daughter the biggest dose of attitude. My daughter told the girl that if she didn't like her rules, then she can just leave. Now, this went on during the middle of the night, as the girls pulled an all-nighter. It was pretty funny to hear them boast about it, as if it was a major accomplishment. I told my daughter she should've woken me up so I could've dealt with what was going on, but she said she didn't want to wake me up to deal with it. Now, all through the night, she came into my bedroom telling me all sorts of stuff, so the one thing that was the most important, she didn't. Go figure the mind of a 15-year-old. Anyway, the troublemaker girl called her dad at 5 am to come pick her up. I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall when she went into my daughter's room to make the call to hear what lie she probably told her dad. When she finally left, good riddance!, she left in a huff, slamming the door behind her. Then my daughter woke me up and said this girl left. Being half asleep and trying to process the whole thing, it sounded like the girl just took off and was roaming the streets! When I heard the whole story, I told my daughter if something important ever happens again she has to wake me up. I also told my daughter I never want to see this girl again. My daughter didn't give me any arguement, as she wants nothing to do with her, either. We had another incident with her a few months ago, but it wasn't anything like this. I got vibes off of her, like she is a kid who is probably never told no and has her dad wrapped around her finger. But it was just a feeling, not enough to say she's a bad kid who my daughter shouldn't associate with. I want to let her parents know what she did and don't know whether or not I should, as I'd want to know if one of my kids was doing that. By the way, they watched "The Human Centipede" and "The Grudge." :alien:

The Human Centipede sounds like a movie that would nauseate me :P Most medical horror movies do.

The flat tops are 'classic' thumbtacks and the pushpins or 'map' thumbtacks are safer.
