Sexy Halloween Costumes - What do you think?
What does everyone think about the trend towards sexy halloween costumes for women?
I guess it's a chance to let your hair down and be whoever you want for one night. I went as a sexy pirate last year and it was really something different for me. I'm usually the shy type - but I must admit it was really fun letting the scallywags chase me about.
I found some good ones if you want a variety to look at:

I found out you can save 20% off any costume at that site just by entering the code TG610 when you checkout. It's worth it!

It seems that where I live, a lot of the women like to take a traditional costume, say a witch, and put the word "slutty" in front of it. "I'm a slutty witch", or, "I'm a slutty princess" or "I'm a slutty penguin." Maybe there living out some pent up sexual desire, I dunno. I just always thought it was funny.
Laurie stares at the station wagon as it moves past. She looks directly at The Shape inside. There is a quick glimpse of him, a strange pale face staring back.

Lazy life, you cracked me up! Last time I went sexy I was slutty smurfette, so that tells you how long ago that was. My 16 yr. old is having a party the 28th (here for ideas), I hope the costumes aren't too overboard. If I'm judging by what I've seen some of them wear to school, where they are somewhat constrained, I'm in trouble.

I think that halloween is all about self expression really, so I feel that dressing up is each to thier own. But I do agree that it needs to be done in appropriate locations (ie) not at a party for children (ie) at the bar or adult party, go for it! I know that the many years that I bartended I have dressed in both Traditional & sexy costumes, but by far the traditonal costumes always seemed to put me more in the spirit of Halloween.
I guess I'm old fashioned really, I find the more authentic costumes more halloweenish, but it is fun to be able to dress up and be provocative and play a certain role.
I think probably the most revealing costume I saw working in the bar was a woman who dressed up as a role of Saran wrap, yep thats what she was, and yep, thats all she was wearing, with some electrical tape in certain areas as so not to get arrested.

Like I said, each to their own. And I never said it was sexy, but it sure was reveiling to say the least. Definatly wasn't halloween related, but from what I understand she was given a dare for $1200 if she did it. So I imagine if you need money, you need money. It made for an excellent tip night though as out bar packed solid.

Hey Mandy0221, Yep and that was all except for electrical tape in x-rated areas. I don't think I'd do it for $1200, maybe if the dare was for a much higher amount. But I sort of knew the woman, she was a regular customer, and yes I could see where she needed the money. She's actaully a very nice person and believe it or not (shy) but she and her friends got her good and drunk enough so that she could go through with coming into the bar like that, and like she said it was worth the money since it was more then she was making in an entire month.

Hi from Barbara
Hi out there. I am new to the forums!! Looking forward to chatting and exchanging ideas. My husband and I are producers of a Halloween make up tutorial DVD, so I find all the comments fascinating.
