The Karate Kid (2010)

Post by iHaunt » Sun Jun 13, 2010 5:55 pm

Anyone seen "Karate Kid" remake? Well I've not seen it yet, but I'd like to add it to my queue. I heard it wasn't the exact storyline just like the 1984 version, is it true?

In this film, I really do like the actor Jackie Chan, he's funny guy. :D

All the reviews I have seen have been bad ones...no one has liked it.

I never liked The Karate Kid remake from the start. Because for one it isn't even about Karate it's about Southern Wushu or Kung Fu. I can't really tell which just from watching the trailer though. I didn't like Jaden Smith in this movie either. And Jackie Chan he is ok. I will probably go see it just to see it. It isn't out yet is it? I heard it's coming out June twenty-something or other. Anyways haven't been following this movie much just saw the trailer.

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

My daughter loves the original and is a Ralph Macchio fan. In her opinion, Macchio is the one and only Karate Kid ... no other can fill his shoes ... so she will not go to see this move.

I never cared much for the Karate Kid moves. Don't dislike them, just not a huge fan. So I have no desire to see this one.

I needed an excuse to take the new car for a spin, so I went and saw the new "Karate Kid" last Saturday, and I thought it was a pretty good story, all though it can't hold a candle to the original. I also liked the original "Karate Kid 2" about the girl who used a Karate technique to save herself from being run over by the pizza delivery truck.

I'm not a fan of under dog movies. I prefer ones where evil wins in the end.

But that's just me, I guess. 8)

i liked it but not as much as the original :arrow: great location shots and better fight scenes :arrow: but it was a bit brutal for a kids movie :arrow: script and acting was a bit lacking :arrow: overall, i would give it a B- 8)
