it officially the CHRISTMAS season!! i'm so amped!! i decorated some more this weekend and plan to get some done outside THIS week if weather permits.

but first i've GOT to get this truck washed
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Absolutely right, thank you! :D
If you were housecleaning with us, you would have done the same thing. That and the party would have been MUCH more fun!

I took down the last of my indoor stuff today but I'm still working on a miniature Christmas tree kit that I swore I would finish!!

I allways take Christmas down on the 2nd or 3rd of January, because I just don't like to face it after going back to work. Of course, I don't decorate any where as near as extensively as some of my neighbors do. A guy down the block from me still has all of his out door decorations up. He doesn't light them, but he has his work cut out for himself as far as taking it all down and putting it away.

...still haven't finished that freakin' tree kit yet.

I'll post a pic of the finished product around June or there-a-bouts.

:lol: :lol:

Maybe he's one of those who keeps Christmas through February 2 (Candlemas?). I read last year that they take down their Nativity displays in Southern Europe on Candlemas.

There's another group of people who celebrate Christmas on January 6th, the actual Feast of the Epifony instead of Decembber 25th. No problems here. I love Christmas in it's proper place on the calender, but after it's time to go back to work, I like to have all the decorations taken down and put away so I don't have to face it after working overtime.
