Good bye Pontiac!

I missed my own 1992 Pontiac Firebird a few years, and I heard they're stopped making anymore Pontiac cars! :(

.
That's sad, huh? Me and my buddies had just finished rebuilding a '69 Firebird when that
piece of news came down the pike. It was a very somber moment.

I was saddened by it too, but what can you do. GM is losing money. There may not be any more Chevys, Cadilacks, Buics or GMC trucks in the near future as I heard that GM is STILL losing money on every car they sell. I could be wrong, but who knows? While I prefer Ford for the most part, I have owned quite a few GM cars and trucks, and they were great. I had a 69 Chevy Caprice, an 88 Chevy Cheyanne Pick Up, a 74 Pontiac Lemans, and I presently drive a Chevy Aveo. It's no glamor ride, but it's dependable, comfortable and gets me to work.

Long time ago we used to say GMC is the best than Ford Company.... but Ford wins! GM lost!

Ford is alive and GM is dead! :twisted:

It is sad!! But if you own one they could be worth alot of money later on, collectors will now have to pay big bucks if they want one now, supply & demand!!! Also if you own one you better hope it doen't break down, parts will also be harder to find.

i'm not dead yet
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Chief Pontiac

Pontiac or Obwandiyag (c. born 1720 – April 20, 1769), was the Ottawa tribe leader who became famous for his role in Pontiac's Rebellion (1763–1766), an American Indian struggle against the British military occupation of the Great Lakes region following the British and Iroquois victory in the French and Indian War. Historians disagree about Pontiac's importance in the war that bears his name. Nineteenth century accounts portrayed him as the mastermind and leader of the revolt, while some subsequent interpretations have depicted him as a local leader with limited overall influence.

I had a '76 Grand Prix. I loved that big old tank! :)
