All Hallow's Eve celebration
Oct. 31st, 2006 at 3:04 AM
When the moon shines above the trees,
I put on my costume and run away free.
Owls hoot and black cats yowl,
makes me smile under my cowl.
Glide through the shadows, a silent shade,
I spook and scare until twilight fades.
Children's laughs turn to screams,
A monster that terrifies all of their dreams.
Scamper to your little beds,
Under the covers you hide your head.
In the closet I will crouch and wait,
Until Mommy takes the candle and leaves you to your fate.
From the graveyard, a zombie moan,
reminds me it's almost time to come home.
Farewell 'til next year, you are safe and sound,
I shall rise again, for I'm Halloween bound.

Wow!
that really was quite menacing.
Thank goodness you live in the States, otherwise I may well be too scared to go out next year on Halloween!

The steeples are white in the wild moonlight,
And the trees have a silver glare;
Past the chimneys high see the vampires fly,
And the harpies of upper air,
That flutter and laugh and stare.
