Those "black light" or ultraviolet florescent tubes are hard to find, but I think Wal-Mart may have some if I'm not mistaken.

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame

You can buy several sizes of fluorescent black-lights at any home improvement store year-round.Pumpkin_Man wrote:

They're used for different kinds of building applications like locating imperfections in ceramic products etc, and can be had for relatively little money.
I prefer the 15" all-in-one unit like this one http://www.lightbulbdepot.com/product.a ... rod=01328A
I got it at Orchard Supply (California version of Home Depot) for under $25.00

Re: When do you start decorating ?
Well right now All of the fall decor is out, the little pumpkins outside hanging on front porch, also inside in the living room, Fall napkins, two plastic jack o lanterns are sitting on either side of the fireplace, The fall wreath is also hanging above the fireplace. I have a pumpkin spice candle out and a flame less candle with a led light with Halloween decor on it. And a big plastic pumpkin out mostly 95% Fall and 5% Halloween out right now. I have went on a splurge this year and bought a lot of stuff for Halloween but I'm shopping around for best price. Thinking about putting stuff up on the last day of September still. But things and ideas are coming to mind I already laid out and drawn floor and decor plans for most of the house!!!!

I don't need an entire fixture. All I need are a couple of black light tubes to put in my existig living room fixture, and maybe a couple of screw-ins to put in the two lamps.

Re: When do you start decorating ?
Speaking of that, I got all but 2 of my Halloween decorations up as of last night. I just have to hand one string of lights across my fire place, and suspend one battery operated bat from my ceiling and the job is finished except for the real pumpkins that I plan to start carving on the 1st. I'm working late tonight, but tomorrow night, I will finish the job. Then I am going to light a fire in my fire place. light up all the decorations, and watch a horror movie.

The only thing I do on the outside is a jack o'lantern and a scare crow with a jack o'lantern for a head seated on my motorcycle. Sort of a variation on the "Healess Horseman" theme.
