Old Town San Diego graveyard

Post by litemareb4xmas » Wed Mar 11, 2009 11:34 am

Took these on the day of the dead a few years back. The cool part is the built the road over the graveyard leaving the bodies and marking in the road there the headstones were.

Yeah. If any of you ever visit, look for the small brass markers on the sidewalk and in the street. You're walking and driving on the graves. If ever the spirits had a reason to be restless...

I may have taken these the same night that litemareb4xmas visited? They haven't had the display the last few years. At least not at the El Santo Campo cemetery.

i love the spanish culture
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!
