Is Your Halloween "Addictive"?
I was told last nite that "My yard haunt display is the most addictive thing than any other house!" People like various things, maybe some other haunted houses are also addictive? Ever been told this before? How about you?

Just to give you an example, a few nights ago we had a thunder storm. It was lat at night and I was in bed. I live in a really old house, so it gave me a real "Halloween" feeling as the thunder crashed and the lightning flashed and lit up the room with that spooky strobe affect.

We have people that come by each year to see what we have done and I get a big kick out of it . But, to be honest in a way I feel like I have to do better each year because I don't want to let people down.

The "proof of the puding" is that we all hang out on this forum all through the year. Even during the Christmas season I was posting messages to various threads. And the only reason why I was away from these forums last week is because I went to the beach for a few days.
So I guess you can say that I'm a Halloween addict.

Yeah, I'm addicted to the holiday. Actually, I look forward to the whole season for months ahead of time. And if you knew the withdrawls I go through on November 1...

Oh i feel you there. The day after Halloween is the worst day of the year by a long stretch. It takes a lot of ice cream to eat away my sorrow and depression. The withdrawl is usually so bad I take off work the next day, but that wont be the case this year since Nov. 1 will be a sunday.Samhain wrote:Yeah, I'm addicted to the holiday. Well, I have to decide to jump in and increase my prop skills this year.
Used to be part of a small haunt when I was at Naval Base. And also, only a small porch scale stuff since I got engaged. Right now, I have a girlfriend, not yet married.
Looking forward to any advices all the way!

Re: Is Your Halloween "Addictive"?
I comfort myself by raiding all of the stores for their steeply discounted Halloween items. Usually a few days after the holiday, they mark all of their remaining Halloween stuff way down. That's about the only thing I do to deal with it. But yes, it sucks anyway. On Halloween night I have to keep reminding myself to enjoy the time at hand instead of worrying about how I'll feel when it's over.MyersFan1 wrote:Oh i feel you there.
