EDIT: I was just reading more of those comics. They say if you do not give your life to Christ you will fry in Hell even if you never even heard of him!! That is not true!! You will only suffer eternity in Hell if you reject Christ and sin.
I believe in Christ, and these people who tell you you're doomed to hellfire for your infractions don't realize that the second covenant is in place of the first one, where in If we sincerely ask for forgiveness, we are spared because Christ died as payment for all sins that would occur after his crucifixion, paying in full the debt for those of us who believe in him and ask us him to be our lord and savior.

Summarized: Old covenant over with, replaced by second covenant (agreement). This guy from this site is off his rocker, and yes I got into my beliefs, but someone did just post Jesus's face in the forum.

I mean, seriously. I don't believe in this nonsense that all people that don't believe in Christ go to Hell, even if they're good people. I believe that all good people go to Heaven, all bad people go to Hell. I don't care if you believe in Allah, Yahweh, God, Budda or the frakking Flying Spaghetti Monster, if you're a good person you're going where good people will be going.

It is part of our Religion, that if you do what you know what is right in your heart, you go to Heaven. That means that even if you are not a Christian per se, but you are a good person, and you live your life being good to others, you will not be damned for all eternity. There are a lot of very devoutly good Jews, Muslems, Hindues, Buddahs, and a whole host of others. To say that they are al l going to hell simply because they don't follow a Christian denomination is rather silly, and very judgemental.

Some one who was born and raised to believe a certain way, is likely going to go to his grave believing in that philosophy he was indoctrinated into.

Agreed! God is loving and just. How just would he be if you were born in a Buddist family and never got to here about God. Budda taught us to be good to others. So you were. You were as good as you could be and faithful to your beliefs. And when you die God says "Depart from me! Into the flames of Hell you go!" WHERE IS THE JUSTICE IN THAT?!?!

Indeed. Considering that Budda is a Christ-like figure in Buddism, it promotes peace and harmony in all things. A very Christian like value. So, if I was a Buddist, a person that was peaceful, I would be put into Hell with child molesters, rapists, thieves and murderers? Screw that.

I thought Jack Chick was nutty. Anyone heard of Fred Phelps?

I can't stand that guy. He definitely isn't a true Christian like they claim that they are. I'm an atheist, but the Christians/Catholics I'm friends with all say the same thing: This guy is nuts. Apparently he just likes making people mad enough so they attack him and then he sues the heck out of them. I'm thinking it's more about money and attention rather than religion. I'm an atheist, but I think that if there does happen to be a higher power that he/she/it would be the type to judge based on how a person lives their life rather than their religion. I don't think a "fair and just god" would allow a horrible person like Phelps or a murderer into heaven while a good atheist who has never done anything major wrong would be cast into hell.

And as for the topic, I don't play D&D, but it definitely isn't evil. People are evil, not objects or games. A person's faith shouldn't be so fragile that playing a simple game would turn them against their god. I heard a quote on it once that describes how I feel exactly, but I can't remember it. :(

They are Calvinists. In my opinion, the Calvinist God isn't just. He chooses who's saved and who's not. But I read SO many Christian websites that I don't know what God is really like. There are SO many opinions it's not even funny. If He is just and does choose who He wants to save and who He wants to cast into Hell, it doesn't seem right to me. Maybe it just doesn't seem just?

I totaly disagree with Calvinism. I don't judge them mind you, but God sent His Son to save all of man kind, not jost a few that of those who were picked or chosen. There are those who run around saying that
God hates certain groups of people. That's down right satanic in it's premise based solely on the fact that God loved us enough to secrofice Himself in a horrid, gruesome and disgraseful death on a cross.

So don't pay these Calvinists any mind. I assure you, God is Just, and his Son's main mission is to SAVE ALL OF US, not condemn us for playing video games or listening to a controversial song or two.

Over the past year I have gone through a lot of thinking about this stuff. I became an agnostic and then a Christian again and read a little from the bible, and just kind of changed my beliefs a little. I don't really know what to believe now but to me it looks like the bible clearly says non believers won't inherit heaven. Besides that, I don't really know what to believe because you can interpret the bible so many ways.
