OT: Lost my best friend

Post by MyersFan1 » Sun Sep 07, 2008 10:39 pm

Had to put down my 9 year old golden retriever after a 16 month fight with cancer. I never imagined it would be this hard to say goodbye to an animal, but dogs sure do become a part of the family. So everyone give your furry, wet-nosed companion an extra hug tonight, because it goes fast.

Sorry about your loss. :(
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

Sorry to hear that. It is amazing how pets grow on you. My nearly 20 year old cat died right before Christmas and it was tough too. Just think about all the fun you had in those 9 years!

I am so sorry. Last week my 9 month old Malti-poo was hospitalized for flea medication poisoning. He almost died. He is ok now but I felt like it was one of my kids sick. I do know how you feel.

Wow how did your dog get flea poisoning? Was it the brand that was bad? Just curious because we just recently put some on our dog and cat.

Oh man...well I'm not a dog person but I do understand the animal/human bond. My animal companion is a cat, and I'm really attached to her. I don't know what I'll do when she goes. Much sympathy for your loss.
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...
