Ghosts on the Road
Let me start with my background in the paranormal. I have been into Paranormal research for about 7 years now. I host a local TV show in which we investigate the strange and paranormal. I consider myself to be border line clairvoyant, but I hardly ever see things. Recently, I took a trip with my 2 best girlfriends to southern Indiana, and on the way back home, I made a note that we were passing near Alton, IL (said to be a VERY haunted town in southern Illinois) to my friend Cara, who was in the passenger seat. She simply said she had heard about it, and that was that for about the next 10 minutes. We were still on 64E, when we started coming under an overpass. It was a bright, sunny day, no other cars around, and we were simply driving and listening to music. I had my sunglasses on. All of the sudden, I saw a black mass, clear as day shaped like a person (about 6 feet tall, swinging their arms and taking large strides) walking from the left to the right of the road under the overpass. At first I panicked, I thought I'd hit someone. I looked behind me, and there was no one there. I turned to Cara, and just said "whoa". She looked at me and said "Did you feel something pass through the car?" Chills ran down my spine. I told her what I had seen. I suddenly remembered we were right near Alton. I've heard stories, and I've also seen some pretty incredible video of very similar cases like what I saw. Has anyone else experienced this type of ghost? I know I will never forget it.

I haven't experianced anything like that before. Have you ever heard the tale of the famous 13 Turn Highway? It's somewhere in America. I remember watching a show about the paranormal and they did an episode on the dead bride who haunts this highway. People see her through out the day and night. The hosts of the show drove right through her. From what I've been told, she is looking for her husband. The newly married couple got in a car accident on their way home from their wedding. Both died but the bride still haunts the highway.
What freaked me out even more is the fact I heard about this days before I got married.

Re: Ghosts on the Road
There's a ghost bus like that somewhere along Highway 93 between Wickenburg and Las Vegas.... they say it comes upon you like it's going to run you off the road. I've been on that highway at night... alone. Only I was going the other way, so the Ghost Bus wouldn't have "got me". The last time I was on Highway 93 was about a month ago when I went water-skiing at Lake Powell... though, I was with several family members and we cut off Highway 93 long before the ghost bus ever appears.
Still, the story is worth a read. I found a site with the story here:

Never driven through a ghost before... was it icy-cold?
