OK here is what happened when my dad played with one with a friend. The thing moved around on the board and shot off the board and landed on the floor. And they felt an eerie presents (or however you spell it) in the room. Not much of a story but still creepy! He said other things happened but mom does not want him to talk about it. She said she used one as a teenager too.

I've always avoided playing with those things. I was always leery of them.
Of course, it doesn't help that my grandparents always tell me those things are filled with demon spirits. >>
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

I have an experiance too, but it was good. My friend and I actually communicated with her dead dog Taffy. After talking a few minutes, Taffy told us he will always be there when we need him. Like a guard dog gardian angel. I never used one again since I heard it opens a portal to the spirit world and bad spirits can come out.

I've read/heard too many negative stories about Ouija boards to use one or be around one while it's being used. I have picked up a box once or twice in a toy store... just to read the box.

I prefer not to invite the supernatural into my life so blatantly. You never know what's on the other end, even if you have a "good" experience. You don't know if that was who or what you wanted to communicate with... evil things can act "nice" and butter you up for a BIG let-down... and your chances of meeting something not-so-nice are greater than the lottery-chances of meeting something "good".

As for myself, I'll go ahead and wait 'till I die to start messing with that junk outright. I'll know a bit more by then... and I'll be able to pull a trick or two of my own on those souls who'd flirt with possible disaster.

A Christmas Ghost Story.... with this ouija board!

I remember long time ago in 1980, my mom got Ouija board as a gift. On Christmas Eve, her best friend from down the street to visit here... I was 5, and my mom would have been 22. Her best friend got an idea to say "What would you get for XMAS?"

She tried asking it, "Is there really a Santa Claus?" We put our fingers on the planchette and asked the question. After that, it started moving. The answer it spelled out was, "Only in the hearts of little children".

I was getting so nervous, and I decided not to play with it again! Imagine that??? :?

That was a very wise decision, HauntMaster. An ouija board is nothing to play around with. I wouldn't even let my niece bring one into my house.

PM,
Can you tell me how come evil ghosts/spirits would have to come if anyone is using the ouija board? Why would ghosts like to bother people with that kind of board?

It's not ghosts or dead people you have to worry about. It's about unclean spirits or devils who are usualy contacted. Anything that opens your mind to the realm of spirits, opens your mind or the "door" for evil spirits. As for people who die, it's my belief that they are all in either Heaven or hell for all eternity. They don't come back.

Ok this is kind of off topic, but I just wanted to see what you think.

One night when the power went out I had a flashlight under my face and made scary moaning noises in front of my mom. She got scared and told me to stop because I might attract evil spirits! :? Thats just weird. To me that sounds superstitious and unrealistic. How can you attract evil spirits just by playing around with a flashlight and pretending to be a ghost? It's no different than dressing up in a sheet at Halloween. My parents actually believe that just by talking about the devil or evil spirits that you can attract one. Weird.
