Has anyone noticed any signs of Fall....?

Post by MyersFan1 » Sat Aug 09, 2008 12:33 pm

I was just curious, i guess depending on which area you live in, if anyone has noticed any signs of fall lately. I live in the mid-Atlantic area and have already noticed that august not only brought the dread of school starting but also decreasing temperatures and more pleasant weather. Right now, the days might peak at about 75 degrees and nights can almost be slightly cool. I have also noticed the clearer, less humid air that has come through and the air seems almost "crisper". It is much to early for the leaves to start changing color, but i look forward to seeing that process happen as well.

Not to mention most stores are beginning to put out there Halloween/fall decorations which is very exciting to see!

No signs of fall around here in Virginia. It's too hot! Just like summer! 8)

Last night it got down to 57 degrees. Strangely, yesterday my local drug store began putting out their Halloween items onto the shelf, lol.

You are lucky. Last time I went to Walgreens all they as were fall items and Halloween candy. Rite Aid only had a little fall stuff. The only stores I saw that have Halloween stuff out now are Dollar Tree and Basketville.

Saturday Morning I woke up to 55 degree temperatures, a cool breezy, and clear blue skies. I realize it was only a tease, but it made me dream of the beautiful weather ahead. FALL you can't get here soon enough.

Today here in MI it is like 65 degrees. I love it. I turned off the air conditioning and opened all the windows. I had to light a cinnamon scented candle too. I can't wait to have this weather everyday. There's also an overcast. Looks like it might rain. This is the best weather as far as I'm concerned. :D

I live in MI too it was sooo nice for it to be cool and cloudy this morning. It felt like October.

Michael's

Post by DB2323 » Sun Aug 10, 2008 9:36 pm

The Michael's near me had the Lemax spooky town stuff out since mid-July. This weekend I noticed them stocking the shelves with lots more Halloween goodies. The big box stores are deep in back to school, which means that Halloween is around the corner. NFL pre-season began this past week and college begins very soon in some parts of the country. Pretty soon we'll be surrounded with signs of the scream season and I'll be happier for it!
