Year-Round Halloween
I was reading somewhere in here about people getting ready to decorate for Halloween... and I started to wonder if I was the only person who kept decorations up year-round. Here are a few photos of my year-round decorations. =)
Below: This is a black-light graveyard display (with other large props) that I have above the kitchen cup-boards. It's a little bare in the corner as I'd taken the huge cauldron down to use it with the gurney. By the way, if you find my update thread in "General Halloween", you'll see some Halloween prints on the wall behind the gurney that I keep up year round. They're from KillerPumpkins.com (These are the two prints I have: One; Two)
We just put these shelves up a couple weeks ago so I could display my glass pumpkins. I'm starting to build up quite the collection. =)

Re: Year-Round Halloween
Love the pumpkins.
I have a collection of small ones (3" & under) that take up a lot of surface area.
The bobble-head was from a store closing sale, I think he set me back $5.00...?
I have another bobble from the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival (World Famous!), who is cute but not nearly as charming.

I like the gravestones.
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

Re: Year-Round Halloween
I actually have a few little displays up year round too, one I just put up yesterday as a matter of fact! I have one that is above my kitchen counters and just displays a bunch of Halloween knicknacks (though I love the gravestone idea you have going there), I put that up last year and it has stayed up year round. We also have two big Halloween poster prints framed and hanging around the house. Then just yesterday I put up shelves and did a perm display of some of our smaller Lemax Halloween village items. I also hung a bunch of signs there. I do plan on putting a few more perm displays up, but I will never keep everything up. I like the feeling of putting stuff up and having it be special for Halloween. I will get pictures in here for you soon!! (So no you aren't the only crazy one )

Okay here are a few pictures (I didn't get the posters, sorry )
This is my display above my kitchen cabinets:
And here is the one in my room that I just did yesterday. I will be adding another shelf, more signs and some other halloween art as well:
See you're not the only crazy one!!

Thanks, it actually turned out way better then I imagined it would. I can't wait to add a bit more to it. That was all I had for now. I will post more pics later when I do add more. The piece in my kitchen is a work in progress. I like all the knick knacks, but I wish it was a more cohesive theme. Plus I just need more of them LOL Tomato cans aren't very Halloweenie.

I can't explain it but I like the Red Pack Tomato cans mixed in with the items in the kitchen!
The shelf with the trees, fence and, TOTer's is great.

Re: Year-Round Halloween
Thanks!! I like the Red Pack tomatoes too, though I think a few less would be better (and more Halloweenie stuff), but the cans are a very simple design unlike most products today, so even though they are new, they look like they are older like from the 60's, so I think they fit well.
My husband is having fun moving the TOTers around on me on the shelves. Everytime I look up there, one of them is moved. Today he moved one into the graveyard!! LOL
