Take a look at this if you can spare an hour and a half.

The dark night beckons. Bear us your soul, it whispers. Expose your wicked delights. Join the rest of us on the wind. The dark night beckons and we answer. Sailing into the shadows.

It would nice if it were illegal, and it is a good idea to vote for people who want to remove it or reduce it, however, I'd not rely on advice in an internet video unless you talk to an attorney or accountant about it first. The Amendments and Constitution are pretty clear.

Regardless of the video, iif the IRS, Justice Department, and the courts do not recognize it as being true then you might be spending time in jail. :-) (I have not seen the video yet). It is always best to verify with an expert.

You can always take a look here:

I don't have 1 hour 51 minutes to sit through that documentary. However, the 16th Amendment to the Constitution reads,
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.
That amendment was ratified in 1913 by 42 of the 48 existing states, although only three-quarters of the states (36) were necessary for ratification.

The part of that documentary I did watch contains a lot of hooey from so-called "tax experts", including Idaho state legislator Phil Hart, who says (23:26), "You can look through the statutes, and look for the law that requires you to pay. And when you do that, you can't identify a law that requires the average person in America who earns a wage and works in private business to pay an income tax."

Mr. Hart, I refer you to the Internal Revenue Code section 1, which is the law that imposes a federal income tax on taxable income of individuals, and sets forth the amount of the tax to be paid. The text of section 1.

He is followed by someone identified as "Irwin Schiff, Author", who claims (23:45), "The federal government, in the Constitution, can tax almost anything, as along as it apportions the tax if it's direct."

Mr. Schiff, I refer you to the text of the 16th Amendment, above, which states "without apportionment".
