With less than a week to go... Are you gonna make it? Do you feel like you left your head in a vise? Or are you going to let things fall as they may? It's time to let things "vent" folks! Let it out, whatever it may be. (But keep the nasty words in disguise.)

I have yet to stuff a dummy, (it's an old zombie costume,) wrap it in webbing, set it out on the park bench behind the building, set out the inflateable spider and poise it for an attack on the dummy. Other than that, almost everything else is done.

The "Wolf Tornado" has to clean up various fall-out, tools, materials, and general clutter, 409 the place, vacuum the carpeting and break-out the rug cleaner and hit a few spots. Just a few final touches here & there, and the usual last-minute decorations, and the Party Haunt will be complete.

Just today I decided that something had to give, and that thing was the Moaning Myrtle prop for the bathroom. Just couldn't find the pieces that I needed to complete her, and had to give it up. Oh, well, next time. But then I picked up something unexpected, I found a blank white mask and made a Death Eater mask out of it to go in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class area. And I am concerned about the weather...God knows we REALLY needed rain....but did it have to be THIS weekend!!!

(Sorry, I know that is horrifically selfish

) My "brick" paper to make the 9&3/4 entrance is NOT going to hold up well in the pouring rain. Plan B is to just cover the inside door and let it go at that. I still have to make Aragog, and finish the arms for the Hagrid prop. The classrooms are done, I finished them this evening. Honeydukes sweet shoppe is looking GOOD (thanks to all the Harry Potter candy I received from OEJ

!!), and I still need to do the final scattering of spiders in the Forbidden Forest...AFTER I vacuum. Food shopping and some cooking tomorrow.

That sounds like alot of stuff to do.....

I'm sure we'll make it, and have FUN doing it!!!

YIKES!!! I just realized that I have to make a list of Potter words/phrases for the Potter Pictionary game!!!!

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

MammaHooch... we SOOOOO love you and we all KNOW and WISH we could ALL be there at your WONderful party.... because we KNOW how much love and attention you've put into this whole thing!!!!!!

I agree with OEJ, Hooch!!!!

MAN...all you guys having a party this weekend have put some tremendous effort into your planning! Your guests are so lucky to have such professional hosts and hostesses in charge! I. CAN'T. WAIT. to see all these pictures!!

Our gathering will be so small-scale I feel I have no right to vent about anything, but still I hope it all goes well on Halloween.
