Hey, I might be inspiring a new generation of Halloween lovers!

I love the pumpkin prince piece you wrote, very creative ending.

I need Halloween
To hide who I really am
I need Halloween
Pretend like I’m a better man

I need Halloween
To mask my inequity
I need Halloween
To guard my lies and deceit

There aren’t ghosts in the air
That can really scare me
No I must truly beware
Of this mirror’s reflection I see

I need Halloween
Cause I don’t like who I am
I need Halloween
Lord why can’t I be a better man?

Don’t blame this evil on me
I’m just a created thing
What God made I threw away
Now the devil’s puppet on a string

Desire can burn
Or leave you cold and alone
I’m the king of fools
Sitting on an old, rusty throne

The tongue is a fire
Sin is the song it sings
What God made I threw away
Now the devil’s puppet on a string

Vampires feed
By haunted moonlight
They can never live
That’s how I feel tonight

Man kills what it loves
Kisses with a scorpion sting
What God made I threw away
Now the devil’s puppet on a string

My arms are strong
They’ll hold you tight
You’ll rest so calm
You’ll never want to fight

Like a bat I fly
My black leather wings
What God made I threw away
Now the devil’s puppet on a string

Wow Dr. Strange you just keep putting out these poems like you were pouring water
I am impressed at how many you can do in a day. I read in an earlier post that you didnt think you would write again. Does that mean you were a writer at one time? Let us in on your secret!
Wild Winds thou shalt blow
carry away my saddened soul
tis the time of Judgement

I write better when I'm pissed at myself and for some reason that is getting channeled tonight. I was never a writer but I used to write, and draw, all the time. This has been my first attempt at trying it all again.

Poem

I must admit I have written two children"s books and a novel...all of which I have sitting in a file waiting to be sent to a agent ....I havent worked up the nerve to do it...I also have about 4 other works in various stages of completion... I guess I just dont have the self esteem to let someone read something ...other than poems
Wild Winds thou shalt blow
carry away my saddened soul
tis the time of Judgement

Rock and Roll Spookyboo! Get out here and sell, sell, sell.

I too have things I've never done anything with but I'm cool with that.

Money would only corrupt me.

I made comic book characters about 20 yrs ago. I wanted to get back into that next year. Now that RCT isn't the most "important thing" in my life anymore. I may chase that down and start drawing again.

I had a Halloween issue I was planning on. But I never got past the pencil renderings. Maybe I'll try and create an "artist's Corner" of the forums I'll be creating. It'll be a great outlet for artists of any type. Nothing's better than "networking".

In a crowd you pass me by
A phantom clear as glass
Never catch the eye
Even behind this mask
Blood pumps hard
With her costume so tight
I drop my guard
On Halloween night
I’m a dangerous man when she looks my way

That's no problem SpookyBoo. I'm waiting for Halloween to creep past, and I'll start in on the forums. New ideas are comin' at me from all over. So I hope it'll be a great new forum to visit.

Sorry to Hi-Jack-O-Lantern the topic.

I’ll pour over you like water
Fill the places you need
Quench your fever with blood
Deep inside plant a seed

You’ll live for the night
Want will be your guide
Beauty carved in marble
Passion never to subside

Two bodies are one
Love is penetration
Death and life dance
To my song of creation

Wow... everyones work is so impressive, I'm humbled. I used to DO this stuff. Music; Lyrics; poems and the like.
I want to contribute to all your great entries but somehow... and BELIEVE me this is difficult to admit, ..... There's just..... NOTHING! I don't know what to think of myself anymore.

I can contribute this.....
It's only "Halloweeny" in that the piece is about a girl who is facing the gallows as a witch. It's from my 'Blue Rose Suite'. It was written way back in the last century!!!! And as far as I can recall, it's the last thing I was really proud of writing. It's called....

THE HANGING OF ANNAZALDA

She did not struggle.
She did not protest,
This innocent flower,
Facing death like a guest

In a fleeting moment,
Amidst the zealous din
Her eyes did meet mine,
And I saw all she held within:

A life of wonder and beauty.
A life of gentle pride.
A life that had been ready,
To stretch Its arms open wide.

Now, poised at the gallows
Her face was not long.
She simply wore a tender smile
Then forever, was she gone.

Wow, OEJ, I feel so sad for her!!! Great work man, you should be proud!!

Spookyboo, your work painted the image of quite an irresistable guy!

And Dr. Strange, I swear...you could make women swoon and fall at your feet- the force is strong with you. :D
