As a Halloween.com representative...of sorts. I suck. I have not been in here welcoming people as often as I should be. I am sorry. I hope all you newcomers have a blast in here.

Hello everyone, Deviledham here.

I am a halloween freak. It's kind of a year-round thing for me. I live in Birmingham, Alabama and repair/ restore antiques for a living. One of my favorite things is to make halloween props -- coffins, creepy dolls, etc. Every year I try to do a costume that no one else will have. I have been a hanged man (complete with three foot rope standing up from the back of my neck and fake swinging legs) , Eddie Munster's werewolf doll, and even THe Limitless Depths of Outer Space, among many others. I enjoy pretty much all aspects of Halloween and it is nice to find a group of like-minded people.
Say goodbye to all this--and hello to oblivion...

Thank you all for the nice welcome. The avatar is actually my zombie businessman costume from last year. You probably can't see it from the small pic, but I am sporting what I like to call the hack and slash haircut. I usually go around bald all year, but I have a tradition of growing out my beard and hair starting on Labor Day (first Monday in September) so that I have something to work with on Halloween. The Hack and slash cut calls for randomly shaving and shortening spots for a mangy look, as though patches of hair have fallen off. I can then shave it back bald for the next work day and no one is the wiser. This year I am considering a monk type cut.
As for the hanged man costume, I don't have any decent pics of it. I'll see if any of my friends have some.
Say goodbye to all this--and hello to oblivion...
