running the mad scientist lab on the lawn with my son....also setting up Creature from the Black Lagoon in his coffin, the forgotten prisoner in his stocks, the skeleton hanging from the tree complete with decayed flesh, and THIS year, an OUTER SPACE EXHIBIT.
Future events such as these will effect you in the future

i take the day off if it falls on a work day. we get a "floating holiday" to use at our own discretion. Every year, everyone in the office knows that I take Halloween off for my floating holiday. Throughout the day I will be preparing the last minute touches to my yard. Going to my daughters Halloween party at school and then getting the kiddos ready for TOTing. Once I get them out the door, I straighten up the house and finish last minute things, then I turn on a scary movie, pour a drink, turn out all the lights, light up all the candles and wait for the little ones to come-a-knockin on the door. I love it!!!

I think parties are covered under mass genocide and necrophilia...

Hmm, funny, but I hadn't thought about what I'd be doing on October 31! On Wednesdays, I have law classes in the afternoon and evening, but I do have a break in the day for trick-or-treaters — 6 to 8 pm is the recommended time here.

Do I have the nerve to show up in class in costume? Will there be a law college costume party that night? We'll see.
