Out of my 10 siblings their combined output is 13 kids.

Barely enough to support the tax base.

I stubbornly cling to hope for a grandchild or two.

My mother was one of four kids, and each one of them had only one apiece. They all graduated into the Depression and WW2. I don't think times are as bad as that right now.

I was at Michaels last month and I shot these pictures, but I've been so busy that I haven't posted them until now. They were already discounting their Halloween stuff and Oct. hadn't even started yet, some of it was even BOGO. They had some interesting decorations, but I only got the creepy twins for my yard.

I love the skeletal jazz fest, but all of those are great.

We have a friend from church who is a butcher at Kroger. He told us this weekend that Kroger is decorating for Christmas tomorrow (Oct 14, a Weds). He said they started Halloween in July, and sales have slowed. So it's on to Christmas now. I get that it's a commercial choice. But i wish we could be allowed to enjoy our holidays in season. It doesn't even look or feel like fall yet around here.

I know what you mean, Walmart here already has Christmas stuff out. Long live corporate greed ... YAY!

I saw this on Facebook marketplace, it's a small sculpture of Mount Rushmore with horror characters. As a 80s kid, I agree with the other characters they picked, but I've always thought that Ghostface is pathetic, and he doesn't belong with the rest of them.

I'm afraid I don't recognize the first guy. He reminds me of Beethoven.

I believe that they are trying to make the guy on the left look like michael myers from halloween. But he definitely does look like beethoven.

...and my beethoven is decked out for the season.

I don't think ghost face belongs there. And if I were to design something like this, it would be all classic, universal monsters.

Dracula, frankenstein, bride of frankenstein and the wolf man would be my choices.

Yeah, that's supposed to be Michael Myers, but it doesn't looks like him.

Andy, that Universal Monsters Mount Rushmore is awesome! Though I would have put the Mummy there. Maybe you can make one with Michael, Jason, Freddy, and Chucky.
